Croydon Central MP Sarah Jones has been appointed as the new Labour Shadow Housing Minister.
Mrs Jones, who was elected in last year’s General Election, in June, has replaced Tony Lloyd MP who was recently appointed as Shadow Secretary of State for Northern Ireland.
She said: “I’m very proud to start a new role as Shadow Housing Minister.”
Jeremy Corbyn said he believed Mrs Jones would bring a lot of experience to the new position.
He said: “I am delighted to appoint Sarah to this important post. She brings a huge amount of experience from her work for the housing charity Shelter and as a constituency MP in London.”
