Can Croydon double its housing supply to meet Mayor’s targets?

Croydon is facing the biggest increase in housing targets in South London, according to the Mayor’s new draft London Plan released this week.

They are set to rise from 1,435 annually to a prospective 2,949 per year in Sadiq Khan’s new draft London Plan.

The plan also sets demanding targets for all 33 London boroughs to move towards the Mayor’s target of 50 per cent affordability for all new homes.

The draft is now available for consultation and all comments must be received by 5pm on Friday 2nd March 2018.
